Dr Shinay Labuschagne (Chiropractor)

Dr Shinay Labuschagne

A Passion for People and Natural Health

Dr Shinay has always known she wanted a career centred on helping people. That calling became clear at age 14, when she attended her first chiropractic appointment and walked out telling her mum she wanted to be a chiropractor. What captivated her from the very beginning was the holistic nature of chiropractic: its focus on patient education, the importance of professional relationships, and its connection to the nervous system.

Dr Shinay went on to earn her chiropractic degree from Durban University of Technology in South Africa, where the faculty and clinical experiences helped shape both her technical skills and her approach to care. One piece of wisdom from her studies has stayed with her ever since: “Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching.” It’s a principle she carries into her professional development and patient care.

Welcoming the Whole Family

From the moment a new patient walks through the door, Dr Shinay’s priority is to help them feel at ease. She aims to create a warm, welcoming space where every member of the family feels comfortable and supported.

Dr Shinay has a particular interest in paediatric chiropractic care – supporting babies, children, and their families. She also loves helping parents better understand their child’s development and wellbeing. Much of her additional training has been focused in this area, and she continues to build on her knowledge as part of her commitment to ongoing learning.

Dr Shinay has also recently enrolled to begin her PhD, a journey she is looking forward to alongside her clinical work.

Chiropractic as a Way of Life

Over the years, Dr Shinay’s appreciation for the profession has continued to grow. She sees chiropractic care as an approach that may support musculoskeletal health and overall wellbeing. She enjoys helping patients better understand their bodies, and supporting them to take an active role in their health.

New Roots in Bundaberg

Originally from South Africa, Dr Shinay and her husband made the move to Australia in December 2025 and are excited to be putting down roots in Bundaberg. Outside the practice, you’ll find her exploring local coffee shops, staying active with her running, enjoying time outdoors, and spending time with her husband and their two dogs.
